B.Sc Nursing

Purpose
- Produce knowledgeable, competent nurses and midwives with clear critical thinking skills who are caring, motivated, assertive, and well-disciplined, responding to the changing needs of the profession, healthcare delivery system, and society.
- Prepare them to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives in providing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative healthcare services in any healthcare setting.
- Prepare nurses and midwives who can make independent decisions in nursing situations within the scope of practice, protect the rights of individuals and groups, conduct research in the areas of nursing practice, and apply evidence-based practice.
- Prepare them to assume roles as practitioners, teachers, supervisors, and managers in all healthcare settings.
Course Details
Duration: Four (4) years full-time course (Eight Semesters)
Intake: 50 students per annum
Medium of Instruction: English
Admission Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Educational Qualification: H.S.C. in Science Faculty Pass with 45% marks in PCB for Open category and 40% for Reserved Category. English is a compulsory subject in 10 + 2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing.
- Entrance Exam: State CET Cell as per DMER rules.
- MH-Nursing CET: Minimum 50 percentile for Open Category and 40 percentile for Reserved Category.
- Gender: Only female candidates.
- Medical Fitness: Candidate should be medically fit.

Highly qualified faculty in Nursing and Medical Sciences, approved by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
Assessment & Passing Criteria
Internal assessments at the institute as per university guidelines. Final exams conducted by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences every year.
Passing Criteria: Fifty percent (50%) marks in both Internal and University Examination.
Practical Training
Each student must complete the clinical experience prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council and Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with 100% attendance.

Duration of the program: 8 Semesters
1-7 Semesters:
- Total Weeks per Semester: 26 weeks per semester
- Number of Weeks per Semester for instruction: 20 weeks (40 hours per week × 20 weeks = 800 hours)
- Number of Working Days: Minimum of 100 working days (5 days per week × 20 weeks)
8th Semester: 22 weeks
